Four words describe the above: Let us dumb down.

A week ago I was behind a man reading his Time Magazine on the airplane. I almost did not recognize it. The two pages I saw were a jumble of boxes . Many years ago I heard this : “Life Magazine for those who cannot read. Time Magazine for those who cannot think.”

The underlying theme of the above is that magazines like the New Yorker and books are obsolete. We (they?) do not have time for any long form. USA Today years ago was criticized for this.
