I am not quite sure what we mean by the simplicity of Medium. I really enjoyed importin myBlogger blog. It was right there as an option when I clicked my circular avatar. Then it dissapperead. In an effort (a strange one) someone changed it from there into Drafts. Why? I like to write stuff in Medium but I don’t want to navigate such problems which to me are complex. Years ago it was simple to begin a Publication. There was no publication for Argentine writer Jorge Luís Borges, for noir writer Raymond Chandler, nothing for Latin American Literature. There were several photography publications but none that seemed to combine the essay form with good photographs. I created these publications. It has been at least two years since anybody has opted to put stuff into any of them. Why is this? I write in Spanish but I am unable to place stuff anywhere so I use the Spanish Tag which seems to have more viewers that the Español Tag. It all seems to be a free for all.

Who has determined that in simplicity the bulk of the essays I am shown are banal (written so) about startups, or code or begin 5 ways to… How I learned to fake being smart and so on. On principle I do not look at any essays that used the four-letter word in the title. While I do not promote the idea of censorship I do believe that Medium like any good newspaper should have a style book. No more fu…. To me Medium seems very complex so I write my stuff and move on. I don’t particularly care if anybody reads any of my stuff. One should write for oneself. That is good enough. Simplicity? Let’s have more of it and stop improving the mechanics of Medium and concentrate on the writing.
