I am wondering in spite of your very detailed and interest list. I started my custom Blogger blog in January 2006. My friend Tim Bray (one of the inventors of XML) advised me to include an RSS feed for my blog. I had no idea what it was. But it worked. It worked until the last 10 years when social media became overwhelmingly important. People who read (or at the very least look) at my blog now believe that if I don’t place a link in Twitter and in Facebook I have not blogged. This makes me think that while RSS feeds may help those who want to sell it does not seem to work for this blogger. What do you think?
