I would agree with you in most instances. But I must add that I avoid any story that has a title with an obscene word. Perhaps I have made an exception here.

I write every day. This is one of the best ways to learn to write well. I interviewed James Ellroy some years ago who told me that on some days he might open a manuscript in process in his computer and only change a comma here or there. Then he said, “If you do that, it is still writing.”

So I write every day and do my best not to rant here in Medium about all those stories on coding, self-help and the others you mention.

You write for yourself. I write for myself and I don’t care a hoot if nobody likes what I write or comments on any of it.
